Employer-imposed regulations


The following are the disciplinary guidelines that the employer may impose:

  1. A word of caution
  2. Fine or punishment
  3. Delay for a predetermined amount of time with lower compensation, but no longer than 10 days.
  4. Removing or postponing periodic bonuses from firms that employ a system for them
  5. Refusal to promote in organizations that use a mechanism for such promotions
  6. Release from employment without discrimination until service benefit
  7. Notice of termination and withdrawal from all end-of-service benefits.



Record of fines for the employee


Employee fines must be documented in a specific register together with the cause and circumstances of the obligation. The employee's name and salary will also be listed in this register, and the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs will make judgments in this respect.


Disciplinary infraction


After thirty days after the finding, the employee cannot be charged with a disciplinary infraction.


Suspension


If the employee is accused of planning a crime against someone's life, property, reputation, or sincerity, or by conducting a strike, their employment may be temporarily suspended.
